Georgia Crawl

Thanks to Alex of On The Hill Visuals for his work on the video of You Can Run, You Can Hide.

Georgia Crawl will entertain you with real Blues with Rhythm music, played by real musicians as it was made in the past. Not a computer in sight. Rousing, soothing, raucous: music to get your heart pumping and your body dancing. Music to lift you from the everyday and raise your soul letting you know you are alive. We have inspired and energised audiences from Dundee, Tayside, St Andrew's, Arbroath to Aberdeen and the Central Belt.

We are a four-piece 'Blues with Rhythm' band playing the classic songs of Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, Robert Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, through to Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles as well as our own material.

So if your taste in 'Blues with Rhythm' has driving harmonica, reverb-drenched Telecaster rhythm guitar, electric lead guitar, with a foot-stomping back-beat, supplied by a solid bass and drum outfit then come along to a gig and get your mojo working to the sound of Georgia Crawl. You may well ask; 'who needs another blues band?' We believe our 'Blues with Rhythm' offers you the opportunity for a good time/dance and to give you an uplifting experience out of the day-to-day humdrum life can offer us all on occasion!

We have played many bars and clubs around Tayside, but also Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen as well as such festivals as The Callender Jazz and Blues Festival, Yellows on the Broom, Dundee Almost Blues, Bellrock Blues Festival in Arbroath and let's not leave out the amazingSummer Beer Happening in Stonehaven. Other events include appearing at Dundee Rep Theatre, playing live on Mearns FM and running harmonica and guitar workshops in conjunction with Yellows on the Broom.

A typical Georgia Crawl gig will involve the audience dancing as the infectious rhythms work their wonders and people can't help but join in and share the experience..
